Lorna Dee Lister, our most beloved daughter, sister, and friend died in a tragic accident just below Deer Creek on Hwy. 189 October 5, 2006. Our loss is too great to comprehend. Lorna graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1996. She served an honorable mission for the LDS Church in Paris, France from 2000 to 2002 where she converted many to the gospel. She graduated from Brigham Young University in Social Work in 2003. She was very excited to be accepted in the Master's of Social Work Program at BYU and had just started this year where she was seeking to obtain additional education to help her realize her dream of establishing a program to be used in the public school system to prevent youth substance abuse, and other addictive behavior problems. She worked for various different organizations to help troubled youth including Lightning Peak in Provo and Youth Care in SLC. She also worked for DCFS in Provo and in SLC and demonstrated exceptional skills in helping children from substance abuse families to be safe and gain a loving home environment. Most recently, Lorna worked for Valley Mental Health in Salt Lake City where she enjoyed helping ADD children. She was very happy to be able to continue to work for Valley Mental Health in Park City. While employed there, Lorna worked in the public school system to help students develop the skills necessary to prevent violence and substance abuse while pursuing her MSW degree at BYU. She played the piano beautifully, taught herself to play the guitar, loved to sing and wrote moving songs she wanted to record. She was a talented artist and wrote a religious children's book. She loved camping, hiking, and snowboarding. She was an exceptionally spiritual young woman who touched many lives and inspired many to change and align their lives with the gospel that she so fervently loved. She had so much faith in people, so many times giving of her time and monetary means to help them. Her life influenced many for good, and even her death is influencing many to live better lives, so they can be with her again. Her life's mission was cut short here on earth, but most certainly she is fulfilling another mission in the spirit world where she continues to serve Jesus Christ. Lorna is survived by her mother and stepfather, Eve and Reed Hansen; father and stepmother, Brent and Mindy Lister; brother and sister-in-law, Darren and Rachel Lister, and their children, Ryan and Richard; little brother and sister, Jon and Madison Hansen; stepsisters, Diane, Dawn, and Delaine, and their husbands and children; grandparents, Wilbur and Katherine Woods, and Myrtle and Aaron Hansen; and many other extended family members and beloved friends. The pain associated with this trial is great. The family wants to express their appreciation and love to all who have expressed sympathy and sent flowers on behalf of their beloved Lorna. Our love for her is eternal. Donations may be made in Lorna's name to the BYU Development Office Provo, Utah 84602 toward a scholarship for a graduate student in the Masters of Social Work Program that Lorna was completing.

All family and friends are invited to attend the viewings Monday, Oct. 9, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006 from 12:45-1:45 p.m.
